Endurance

2 Timothy 2:3 states, Thou therefore endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

The word endure means to undergo hardship and to suffer trouble. As a soldier of Jesus you will undergo hardship but you must be willing to endure.  Endure doesn't mean to stay in it but to bear long in order to go through it.

God has an army and one of the things we must realize is as a soldier we must not entangle ourselves with the affairs of this life, carnality and flesh.  These will weigh you down. The only way to please God is to maintain your walk with God free from all that would hinder and keep you from reaching your potential in God.

Be determined to be a good soldier by adhering to the word, keeping yourself free from the cares of this life and pleasing the Lord in your manner of living.  Christ will strengthen in your walk as you continue to submit to His will.

Be bless in the name of the Lord,

The Place of Intercession

Before going to the cross Jesus went to a solitary place to pray.  He often visited the garden of Gethsemane but this time it was different.  He was in agony in his soul and spirit and it was necessary for Him to pray through because of what He was about to face.

Jesus needed his disciples to sit and watch, tarry and pray as he interceded, however, they were heavy with sleep and could not watch with him.  He took this walk alone but after reaching the point of breakthrough He knew that He could go on and endure the cross.  One of His own was about to betray Him but after prayer and intercession He knew that he was ready to drink the bitter cup that had been set before Him.

As the Lord burdens your heart in prayer remember what Jesus walked through, pray until you receive your breakthrough.  Matthew 26:36-46

War in Heaven

The first war that took place was between Lucifer and God.  It all began when Lucifer decided to abuse his authority and exalt himself over God.  God took immediate action and dismissed Lucifer who became Satan.  He took two thirds of the angels with him.  Inquity was found in him and we know that his end will be the lake of fire.

Since that time Satan has and continues to lead many astray.  By following the enemy your fate will be the lake of fire.  It is his mission to kill, steal and destroy.  Jesus comes to give us life and that more abundantly.  Choose life and you will live.
